High Five America Memorial Day
Tournament Results--(June 1, 1999)
Dave Axelson, the Tournament Director for High Five America, just sent us an e-mail, and even though we had no real idea what happened there (because we were in Fresno instead) at least we now know who won the various brackets. Here's what Dave had to say:
Thanks for including our tournament information on your website. I thought that you might be interested in the results. To recap, we had 147 teams in the tournament, which was played on 11 courts at five different sites. We had great crowds and great competition.
One humorous note, my son was scoring/running the clock at Coronado High School. During one of the games, which was an early blowout, one of the parents on the winning team yelled at the coach, "Don't you guys want to be competitional?" Daniel Webster is rolling over in his grave even now.
