Calabasas HS Gets Upland Assistant
Wynn As New Boys' Coach--(May 22, 1999)

Derek Wynn, an assistant coach at Upland High the last four seasons, has been hired as boys' coach at Calabasas.  We don't know much about Derek, but we do know that he comes very highly recommended, and he has been hired at a time when the program at Calabasas is in desperate need of leadership. We won't repeat what we heard happened last season to precipitate the terminations of the coaching staff, but suffice it to say, the situation was not a healthy one, and Wynn has his work cut out for him.
