The Real Athletes' Guide:
Book Signing
& Sale Announcement--(May 26, 1999)
Normally, we don't do full-on advertising for books, products or related items, nor do we usually offer unqualified endorsements, but we can honestly say that "The Real Athletes' Guide --How To Succeed In Sports, School & Life" by Marc Isenberg and Rich Rhoads, the founders of athletenetwork.com, is one book that we'd urge every player, parent, coach, and recruiter to get their hands on.
So we have no hesitation about promoting the book and turning others on to it, and the wisdom to be found between its covers. There's information and solid practical advice to players and parents (and especially parents) about the recruiting process, time managment, selecting the right college, controlling a player's recruiting, and lots of other vital information needed for success at the high school level and, ultimately, the next level. If you don't have the book, you'll want to get a copy. If you've already got a copy, then you know what we mean. We've read it, and would recommend it to anyone.
Yesterday we got an e-mail for Marc Isenberg letting us know that he'll be at a book signing and will be available to answer questions. Marc is well-informed, and if you can find the time, it's well-worth it. Here's the text of the e-mail we received yesterday:
You're invited! Please let others know about this event. Thanks. --Marc
