Transfer Express: Leroy Dawson Checks
In At Los Angeles High--(May 5, 1999)

Leroy Dawson (6'-0" Jr. PG) who was a member for the past two season of the Compton boys varsity team has transferred from Compton to Los Angeles High.   Leroy is a tough, quick point guard, who didn't get much publicity, playing behind Tito Maddox (6'-4" Sr. PG) for the past two seasons, but who is a great player in his own right. Hopefully he'll get his academics in order and stay eligible to insure hs recruitment to a D-I school. Leroy also played in the Rockfish Spring League and impressed several college coaches and scouts, and he'll be a great addition for new LA coach Hernando Planells.
