Two Different Falcon Basketball
Camps
To Be Held This Summer--(May 25, 1999)
If it's Tuesday, it must be summer camp announcement day. We came across two different announcements, both on the same page in the LA Times local paper for the La Canada/Crescenta Valley area, both for camps calling themselves "Falcon Basketball Camp." So take your pick, because it looks like there will be several opportunities in June and July in the Crescenta Valley area to get some good instruction and have a lot of fun.
Here's the first:
Falcon Basketball Camp: John Goffredo will once again host the Falcon Basketball Camp. This is the 25th annual camp, and this year it will be held at Rosemont Middle School in the Crescenta Valley area from June 21-25. The camp is for players ages 7 to 15. Camp hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuition is $200, which includes a free basketball, daily lunch, trophies, T-shirts, a shot analysis, drill notebooks, water bottles, prizes and awards. Space is limited, and the deadline for registration is June 1. For more information, call 248-4713.
And here's the second. :
Falcon Basketball Camp: Crescenta Valley High boys' basketball coach Jim Smiley, who took the Falcons to the CIF Southern Section playoffs last year, is running the camp for the second consecutive year. The camp, which will take place at Crescenta Valley High, is open to boys and girls ages 7 to 16. It runs from July 5 to 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuition is $175, which includes a camp T-shirt, daily lunch, trophies, prizes, awards, player evaluations guest speakers and individual instruction. For more information, call 248-2926.
