More Falcons? Duarte Summer
Camp Announcement--(May 26, 1999)

Seems "Falcons" are really popular school as mascots. In addition to the Crescenta Valley Falcon Basketball summer camp and the John Goffredo Falcon Basketball camp (both in the CV area, but during different weeks) there's yet a third "Falcon Basketball Camp." But this one is for players who are not yet quite real Falcons, just "Future Falcons" Here's the note we received:

Duarte High School will be hosting their first annual "Future Falcons" Basketball camps this summer. Three camps will be offered. The first camp will be for entering 4th to 6th graders. It will run from Monday June 21 to Thursday June 24 from 2 to 5pm and costs $20. The second camp is for entering 6th to 8th graders. It will run from Monday June 28th to Wednesday June 30 from 2 to 4pm and costs $15. The third camp is for 9th graders. It includes a tournament in which campers will compete against teams from other cities. The frosh camp runs from Monday July 5th to Thursday July 8th and costs $10. The tournament will be Friday July 9 to Sunday July 11. Each camp includes a camp T-shirt. Fundamentals of basketball will be taught and team play will be emphasized.
