Baron Davis To Hold Press
Conference Today--(May 12, 1999)

According to several internet and print media sources, Baron Davis will hold a press conference today, Wednesday, May 12, in the media room at the JD Morgan Center on the campus of UCLA.   We have no real idea whether Baron will announce he's going pro or that he's staying for another year.   If he announces that he's going to turn pro, he can still change his mind about returning to college, but only if he doesn't sign with an agent, and frankly, with the post-strike NBA contract provisions, why he'd need an agent to take 4% of whatever money he gets is a mystery to us.  If Baron does announce for the draft, as many believe he will, speculation is that he'll go no lower than No. 5 in the draft, and possibly as high as No. 1.
