Sylmar's Jeremiah Turner Signs
With Cal Poly Pomona--(April 26, 1999)

After the adidas Double Pump Classic games on Saturday night, we went out to dinner with a large contingent of coaches, and among them was Tim S. Rapp, the head men's basketball coach at Cal State Poly Pomona, who told us that Jeremiah Turner (6'-7" Sr. SF/PF) from Sylmar HS, who had the game of his life against Crenshaw in this year's City Quarterfinal playoff game, has signed a letter of intent to play there next season.  Jeremiah is a very athletic rebounder who can shoot and finish around the basket, and who plays excellent defense.

Jeremiah, who attended ABCD camp last year, is an excellent pickup for the Broncos, and will join several of last year's SoCal graduates including T. J. Williams (6'-1" Fr. G) from Rancho Santa Margarita, Marques Montgomery (6'-1" Fr. G) from Cerritos Valley Christian HS, Rafael Zielonka (6'-5" Fr. F) from Servite, and David Erickson (6'-11" Fr. C) from Newbury Park HS.  Also at Cal Poly Pomona, a D-II school, is Howie Palmer (5'-8" So. G) from Upland, Nick Alexander (6'-9" Jr. F) from Canoga Park who attended Mira Costa JC for two years, Nathan Sinning (6'-4" So. G) from Crescenta Valley HS, and Terrell Davis (6'-7" Jr. F) from San Jose Bellarmine Prep.
