Joe Shipp Commits To Cal Berkeley--(April 18, 1999)

We got a chance to talk with Joe Shipp (6'-5" Sr. SG/SF) before the Dada Classic today at Pauley Pavilion, and Joe, who had just come into town from Berkeley, told us that he's committed to Cal. "I really like it there, and I think it will be a great place for me. I'm going to sign later this week." He said he really enjoyed the weekend, liked the coaches and saw a few other players in the incoming freshman class this weekend who were also up on campus this weekend, including Nick VanderLaan.

Congratulations to the Cal Bears and to Joe Shipp.
