1999 Dada All-Star Classic: April 18
At
Pauley Pavilion--(March 15, 1999)
Dinos Trigonix is once again organizing another star-studded All-Star game. This will be the 3rd Annual Dada All-Star Classic (formerly the Eddie Jones All-Star Classic). We've already featured a small blurb about this one a few weeks ago, but yesterday Dinos sent us the player confirmation list for the event, and even we have to say it's impressive.
The event will feature a 3:00 p.m. "Southern California Game" and a 5:00 p.m. "All-American Game". The first game will feature several of the top known well-known players, including ShanTay Legals (Cal signee), Mar'Quis Poole (Washington State signee), Noel Felix (Oregon State or Washington State), B.J. Ward (UCSB signee), and James Wright (Long Beach State signee), among others.
The All-American game at 5:00 p.m. will feature many of the country's top prep senior prospects, including 13 of Student Sports Magazine's Top 40 players. Here are the squads confirmed so far:

Now if it were totally up to us (and it's not) there were a couple of other local guys we'd like to see playing one of their two games here in Los Angeles, including Jason Kapono or Casey Jacobsen, but because Jason is playing in both the McDonald's All American game and Magic Roundball Classic, and Casey is probably going to play in one of the other big-time high profile events, like the Derby Classic. But even without them, these are still going to be great games.
This year's Dada All-Star Classic is again put on by Director Dinos Trigonis. Phil Gatton is the Media Coordinator and the Board of Advisors is (if we do say so) a not undistinguised group of miscreants, including: Stephen Gladstone (Chairman) from Greenwich, CT; Frank Burlison of The Orange County Register; Clark Francis of the Hoop Scoop; Jerry Gale of SoCalHoops; Louis Johnson of The Long Beach Press-Telegram; Michael A. Miller of WestCoastHoops; Dave Telep of Prep Stars Recruiters Handbook; Etop Udo-Ema (Los Angeles) of The Bank!; Littel Vaughn (Philadelphia) of Brotherly Love Roundball Report; Stephen Wasasner of Loose Balls, Assists and Turnovers; and Ronnie Zeidel of Slam Magazine.
As always, if you have any questions about the event, you can contact Dinos for further informatin at 562-984-8355.
See you there.
