Dada All-Star Classic "All-Southern
California" Rosters--(March 31, 1999)

Dinos Trigonis sent us the rosters for the 3rd Annual Dada All-Star Classic "All-Southern California" game a couple of days ago, and we were unable to get it posted sooner, but here it is.  The Dada is April 18, 1999 at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion. We know for a fact that at least one the players listed won't be playing, and if you miss this game, it's also possible that you'll also get another chance to see several of the local players in the Double Pump California All-Star game which is scheduled for April 24 at Cal State Dominguez Hills.  But in our view, everyone should attend both events, because you never can get too much basketball action, right?

We've  already posted the rosters for the Dada "West v. U.S." game (which will be played at 5:00 p.m.), and Dinos tells us that Marlon Parmer (6'-2" Sr. PG) from double-state champion Verbum Dei has also been added to the roster of the U.S. team in the 5:00 p.m. game.  If you want the rosters for the US v. West All-Star game, here's the link to our earlier article.

The "All-Southern  California" All-Star game rosters list the following players:

We're betting that almost everyone will show, but there are some we'd be surprised to see, including Nate Hair, who just had knee surgery. And there's a rumor floating around that Shantay might also be on a roster for an all-star event up in the Bay area the same weekend, which also has Nick Vanderlaan on it, so there's speculation that since both of these guys will be attending Cal, they may want to appease the fans who will be watching them for the next few years.  Guess we'll have to wait to hear from them (Shantay: what's up man?).  Any way you slice it though, this is going to be a great event in a quality venue.

Oh yeah, the event is taking place on April 24 at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion.  The Southern California game is at 3:00 p.m. followed by the "US v. West" game at 5:00 p.m.   Tickets will be available the day of the event, $8.00 for adults, $6.00 for students, and we have no idea whether children get in for half-price or free.

See you there.
