Aaron Abrams of RBV Commits
To San Jose State--(March 8, 1999)
Aaron Abrams (6'-3" Sr. SG) from Rancho Buena Vista down in San Diego, a former Pump 'N Run player this past summer and fall with Gilbert Arenas (Arizona), Casey Jacobsen (Stanford), Mike Dunleavy (Duke), Johnny Hardwick (Texas A&M CC), Bo Segeberg (Sacramento State), and others, has decided to make a verbal committment to San Jose State. According to Recruiting USA Aaron took an unofficial visit to San Jose State "last weekend" (their article was posted 3/6, so that would have been the weekend of February 27-28, but we know that San Jose was playing in San Diego that weekend). In any event, whether it was coaches Eddie Hill and Phil Johnson visiting Aaron or vice versa, apparently Aaron liked what he heard from saw and he made an oral committment to the Spartans. Aaron is truly one of the nicest young men you'd ever want to meet, and a great player as well and we know that Aaron has made a great choice to play at a program where he will be an immediate impact player. Congratulations to San Jose on landing Aaron, and to Aaron for selecting a program on the rise.
