Nike Extravaganza Extra: Oak Hill
Player Profiles #4--(Feb. 5, 1999)

Oak Hill, the No. 1 ranked team in the country, and perhaps the best ever high school team we've seen (really, we mean it, seriously) features 12 players on its current roster.  We're going to feature their profiles direct from the Oak Hill 1998-1999 Warrior Basketball Guide, which we picked up from Assistant Coach Sid Finklea at the Reebok Las Vegas Holiday Prep Classic in December.   This is the last of the player profiles; we'll have the coaching profiles up later as well.  Here are the profiles for tim Stevens, Travis Watson and Chris Williams

Tim Stevens (6'-1" Jr. G)--Tim can play both guard positions. He is one of our team's best perimeter shooters with range to the 3 point line. His ball handling skills allow him to play the point adequately. Tim needs to make better decisions in the flow of the game to enhance his playing time. tim works very hard daily to improve his overall game. He will give the Warriors much depth at the guard spot--the most in recent years. Son of Ms. Pat Stevens.

If I started a team the other four players would be: Michael Jordan, Jason Kidd, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird
What I like most about Oak Hill is:
The chance to play with and against some of the best high school players in the country.

Travis Watson (6'-7" Sr. F)-- Bubba's style of play, according to one college coach, is that of a wrecking machine.  He will go through, around, or over you to get the job done. His aggressive, relentless play will hopefully rub off on all his teammates.  A natural southpaw, Travis could be the best rebounder in school history.  He led the U.S. Youth Team to the Gold Medal this past summer in Moscow, Russia.  Travis scored 21 points and had 10 rebounds in that final game.   Travis is a co-captain for the 1998-99 season and maintains a 3.0 GPA.  Travis will be attending the University of Virginia next year.  Son of Ms. Carol Watson and Guardians mr. & Mrs. Patric Boggs.

What I like most about Oak Hill is:  It gives me the opportunity to play against the top players in the country while focusing on my academics.

Chris Williams (6'-2" Jr. G)--Chris has loads of potential at the point guard position. He needs to continue to build his strength and work on his perimeter jump shot.  Chris has a very strong handle and excellent penetrating ability.  As his shot develops, so will his game.  Chris provides good leadership at the point position.  Son of Ms. Dawn Pugh.
