CIF Central Section Playoffs: Division IV Bracket
& First Round Results--(Feb. 25, 1999)

The Central Section of the CIF (which is the southern half of the Central Valley, from Bakersfield up to Fresno and Chowchilla) is currently holding their own CIF Divisonal Championship Playoffs in Divisions I, II, III, IV and V. 

Division IV is a pretty big deal in Central Section, almost as big as it is in Southern Section, and they have a 16 team bracket.   Yesterday marked tghe beginning of the tournament, and there were 6 games played, with the top two seeds getting byes until the quarterfinal round, which is tomorrow. Here are the results in the bracket, followed by the actual bracket itself:

Firebaugh 79, Lindsay 55
Orosi 73, Taft 56
Riverdale 74, San Joaquin Memorial 54
Corcoran 60, Caruthers 42
Kerman 53, Templeton 45
Kingsburg 75, McFarland 67

Here's what the bracket looks like. Remember, all the higher seeded teams are the host team throughout the tournament, and all games begin at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted:
