What:  adidas Long Beach Poly & Artesia SoCal Basketball Classic

When:  January 30, 1999
               First Game Starts at 3:00 p.m. 

Where: LA Southwest College, 1600 Imperial Highway, LA, CA

This is a four game exhibition, formerly known as the Poly-Artesia Classic, it will be played at a new location, and will feature 4 great all-star games.  We're not exactly sure of the exact matchups yet, and neither was Joe Kapono (Jason's dad) or Mrs. Shotwell (Raman's mom) who are the co-chairs of the event.  But they did fax us the names of the teams entered, and once again, the possibilities of some great matchups are there:  Anaheim Canyon, Artesia, Compton, Dominguez, Mater Dei, Long Beach Poly, Pasadena, Verbum Dei.  Wow. 

We're going to guess that Pasadena will play Verb, that Poly will play Dominguez, that Artesia will play Compton, and that Mater Dei will play Canyon.   Remember, these are just our speculation about the matchups, and since none of these games are league contests (with the exception of a Poly v. Compton game, which might actually be the more sensible matchup).

In any event, the tickets will be on sale at the door, $7 for adults, $3 for students.  Don't miss it.
